Police: Jesus statue stolen from Bethlehem Nativity scene

Police are asking the public for assistance Tuesday identifying a woman who stole a Jesus statue from a Nativity scene in Bethlehem, Pa.

The theft occurred Sunday around 2 a.m. outside Bethlehem City Hall.

The "baby Jesus" statue has since been recovered. Police said "a note that made no sense" was discovered with the statue, but did not disclose where it was left.

Police describe the suspect as a light-skinned woman weighing between 120 and 140 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing a dark coat, dark yoga pants, dark shoes, and a dark baseball hat.
