Police: Man stabbed twice on East Germantown street

An investigation is underway following a stabbing in the East Germantown section of Philadelphia.

The incident occurred Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. on the 4900 block of Baynton Street.

Police say an unidentified black man in his 50s was stabbed on the street once in his left arm and once in the left side of his chest.

The victim was transported to Einstein Medical Center, where his condition is unknown.

No arrest has been made, and no weapon has been recovered.

Authorities have not yet released a description of a suspect.
