Penn State head football coach James Franklin took to the road recently to surprise several Nittany Lion fans with their season tickets.
In a video posted to Penn State Athletics' Twitter page Monday, Franklin can be seen pulling up to the houses of several fans in a van with several cheerleaders accompanying him to hand-deliver their passes to games at Beaver Stadium this fall.
The nice gesture from Franklin probably isn't necessary to fire up support. Penn State had the fifth-highest attendance in all of college football last season with 101,623 fans per game.
The Nittany Lions, who finished 7-6 last year, won the 2014 Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in an overtime nailbiter against Boston College, thanks in part to a late missed extra point.
This year, they'll be relying on highly-touted junior quarterback Christian Hackenberg to lead them back to bowl season.
