City Tap House University City will host the 2016 Pumpkin Smash on Oct. 9. The all-day event is both a celebration of all things pumpkin, as well as a fundraiser for the Morris Animal Refuge.

There will be 25 pumpkins beers on tap, a pumpkin-themed brunch menu and a 200-pound pumpkin firkin filled with beer.

The brunch menu includes:

•Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
•Pumpkin Heirloom Bruschetta
•Pumpkin Eggs Benedict
•Pumpkin Moon Pie

As for activities, attendees will be able to smash a bunch of pumpkins for a donation fee. Plus, there will be pumpkin painting and a bounce house for kids.

Since the event in part benefits the Morris Animal Refuge, City Tap House is also welcoming dogs. Dress up the family pup in a costume and possibly win a prize.

Tickets for the event are $10, which includes a speciality glass and one complimentary beer.
