Morning rain showers may result in day two of icy road conditions until temperatures rise above freezing at about 8 or 9 a.m.

PennDOT crews were out Sunday evening salting the major roads and highways in preparation.

The icy conditions aren’t expected to be as severe as Sunday morning, when three people died and hundreds of weather-related accidents were reported, but motorists are still being urged to be cautious.

Several minor accidents have already been reported as of 6 a.m. Monday, including one at 13th and Vine streets in Center City that sent one car up onto the sidewalk, according to 6abc Action News.
