On Dec. 31, 2014, one Reddit user asked their fellow users a simple question: "What's one thing you want to achieve by 31st Dec 2015?" The user, _kashmir_ , said that in exactly one year they'd follow up with whoever answered to see how they did with their New Year's resolutions.

Well, it's exactly one year later, and _kashmir_ did, in fact, follow up with about 70 responders

In a thread under the subreddit "Casual Conversation," users have been updating _kashmir_ with their achievements and failings over the past year. The resolutions followed the usual annual outpourings we all hear from family and friends: "I want to lose weight," "I want to find love" or "I want a new job." The outcomes, too, vary greatly, from major accomplishments to humble confessions of defeat.

User Xyr3siC, for instance, said their goal was "Get into the college I want."

How'd it go? Today they posted: "Somehow, I managed to achieve this goal, and will be attending the University of Pennsylvania next fall."

User VividLotus' 2015 goal was "Have a baby. Not really an 'achievement', I realize, but yknow."

In response to _kashmir_'s prompt, they said "Not quite, but close! My daughter is due in about 2 months."

User DeadxSilent's goal for 2015 was, "To lose weight without going back to an eating disorder. I can't go down that road again, but need to be a healthy weight."

Today, they posted "I did! I relapsed once in the beginning of the year, but I'm now a healthy weight due to swimming! Thank you for reminding me about this <3"

The responses are often sweet and always undeniably human;  _kashmir_ has been responding to each with either a hearty congratulations or a note of encouragement.
