Registration for the Philadelphia Love Run half marathon has finally opened. The race, which will take place Sunday, April 10, has sold out its first two years with 10,000 runners in attendance. So, if you want to participate, you should act fast.

The race begins and ends at Eakins Oval in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and runs through Fairmount Park along the Schuylkill River up to Martin Luther King Boulevard. The half-marathon (13.1 miles for those who may have forgot) is open to walkers who can complete the course in 3.5 hours or less.

During the first day of registration, 150 racers will win half-price registration. Each hour after 10 a.m. the race will choose 10 entrants who get to pay just $30 instead of $60 per runner, and everyone who has already registered is re-entered for the giveaway each hour. Therefore, the earlier you register the better your chances of winning a discount.

Of course, as with most big races, there will be a post-race party and you can join with teams to race together. Sign up now to ensure your spot at the Love Run.
