Philadelphia Eagles RT Lane Johnson isn't going down without a fight after being suspended for the second time for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancing drugs. Johnson initially appealed the suspension and lost. According to Albert Breer of the MMQB, Johnson has filed unfair labor practice charges against the NFL and NFLPA.
Johnson signed a five-year contract extension in January, which originally included $35.5 million in total guarantees. Johnson's suspension, however, voided the guaranteed money in his deal (in that he can still earn it, but it's no longer guaranteed), and cost him a hefty chunk of money for the time missed this season.
Johnson has already served six games of his 10-game suspension, so this is seemingly not a move to have the suspension reduced. He is eligible to return to the Eagles' lineup Week 16 against the New York Giants.
