Lehigh University Police Department has given the all clear after a full search of a residence dorm based on reports of a possible device in the building, a school spokesperson said in an email.

The university had sent out an emergency alert to its students Monday afternoon warning of reports of a possible "device" in Palmer Hall, "a three-story residential building for first-year students on the east side of campus," a statement on the school website said.

The university police aided by the city's canine squad conducted the search and no threat was found, the school spokesperson said.

All students are now permitted to reenter the building.
