Multiple sources are reporting that an unknown individual has been shot and killed by U.S. Marshals who were serving a warrant in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday morning.

According to CBSPhilly, U.S. Marshals were serving a warrant in the city’s Oxford Circle neighborhood when gunfire reportedly broke out shortly after 10 a.m.

The report says the shots were fired at Frontenac and Hellerman streets after a person allegedly pointed a gun at authorities serving a warrant. It adds that no members of the U.S. Marshal federal law enforcement agency or local police officers were harmed

Several questions remain unanswered at this time, including whether the individual was being served a warrant.
