Reports: Trump's name taken off Atlantic City's Taj Mahal

Crews worked to remove President Donald Trump's name off the Taj Mahal Wednesday.

"Trump" was taken down from the casino's front entrance and off an elephant statue seen near the Taj Mahal by Route 30, the Press of Atlantic City reported.

The casino was owned by Trump in 1990 but later taken over by billionaire investor Carl Icahn.

After failing to reach a labor deal with its unionized workers, Icahn closed the casino in October.

A 2015 court settlement between Trump Entertainment Resorts and Icahn required that the name be removed by next month if the casino did not meet renovation standards.

The "Trump" sign seen from the Atlantic City boardwalk was reportedly removed Tuesday. There are 17 signs bearing the president's name that will need to be removed, Philly.com reported
