Rescue Me: Tuxedo

Our very adoptable pet of the week

Tuxedo needs a furever home, though he wouldn't use those words exactly.
ACCT Philly/for PhillyVoice

Holy Handsome. Tuxedo is a real looker, that's for sure. He is about 2 years old and was brought in as a stray. The streets are no place for a long-haired boy like Tuxedo. He is very friendly and loves attention, and is hoping to charm his way right into your heart. Stop by and take home Tuxedo!

  • Specifics:
  • feline
  • domestic long hair
  • 2 years old
  • neutered male
  • small, 8 pounds

ACCT Philly strives to make adopting a pet an enjoyable, stress-free process. They ask that you bring a photo ID, proof of address and, if adopting a dog, any children or resident dogs that will be living with your new family member. After filling out a short adoption application, their adoption counselors will help match you with the perfect pet.

All animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and have been examined by a veterinarian. Adoption fees and specials vary month to month and can be found on the ACCT website along with adoption locations and hours.

UPDATE FROM ACCT: "Great news, Tuxedo is now in foster care! ... Foster care means he is still available for adoption, but is living in a volunteer's home, freeing up valuable cage space at the shelter. Potential adopters can email foster@acctphilly.org to learn more and set up an appointment to meet Tuxedo. "
