A toy gun-wielding robbery suspect was shot and killed in Upper Darby on Wednesday by the intended victim.

According to NBC Philadelphia, a 68-year-old man was walking in Cobbs Creek Park near the 6700 block of Short Lane when he was confronted by two masked men — one with a "gun" and another carrying a stick. The intended victim, who had a concealed weapons permit, shot and killed one of the suspects in the head.

A subsequent investigation determined the robbery suspect's gun was a toy.

The second suspect fled the scene.
