Roxborough Solstice Music Festival returns for third year

Festival will feature ten musical performances

On Saturday, June 11 the Roxborough Solstice Music Festival will take place at Gorgas Park. This will be the event's third year in the neighborhood.

The 2016 festival will feature  10 musical performances: Tommy Conwell, Ben Arnold, Zach Djanikian Band, Rosemary Fiki, Hannah Taylor & The Rekardo Lee Trio, Cookie Rabinowitz, Song Dogs, Hurricane Hoss, Jeff Selby of the Quixote Project, Paul Keen & Pawn Shop Roses, PhillyBloco and Philadelphia School of Rock.

Besides live music, the festival will include a beer garden, food trucks and local vendors. Food trucks will include the Cheese E. Wagon, Chef Johnny Bravo's Surf & Turf, Curbside Creamery, The Tot Cart and Smokin' Tacos. 

Also at the family-friendly event will be face painting, bounce houses, a slide obstacle course, carnival games and crafts.

The festival begins at noon and will continue into the night. A rain date is scheduled for June 12 if inclement weather pops up.
