Eagles' Sanchez, Barwin visit patients of Amtrak accident at Temple Hospital

Philadelphia Eagles players Mark Sanchez and Connor Barwin stopped by Temple University Hospital on Wednesday where nurses and doctors were providing care to those injured in the Amtrak train derailment Tuesday night.

Crossing Broad reported the players' visit after the hospital's Assistant Nurse Manager Matt Weidenmiller tweeted pictures of them posing with TUH nurses at the blog. According to Weidenmiller's account, they were visiting patients being treated from the accident and their families

The team tweeted their condolences to those involved in the crash on Wednesday morning.

The Phillies also expressed solace for the victims of the crash, taking a moment of silence before the team's Wednesday night game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
