Shoo Fry, that french fry bar in Rittenhouse, finally opens

Poutine, sliders, shakes are ready

Back in early March, we announced that Shoo Fry, a new poutine place, would be opening in Rittenhouse Square. Months later, the fancy french fry shop — which also sells milkshakes and sliders — is finally ready for the public.

Oct. 20 marks the first day Philadelphians can order curly, wedge or regular fries topped with bacon, chicken, cheese and a whole range of other toppings (PB&J anyone?) from Shoo Fry.

Look out for the scrapple slider, cheesesteak poutine and shakes made with Little Baby's Ice Cream when visiting. The poutine shop concept may be Canadian-born, but there's plenty of Philly flavor in Shoo Fry.

Fries and milkshakes range from $7-$8, while sliders are $3 or less.

The restaurant is located at 132 S. 17th St., where Underdogs used to reside. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday through Saturday, according to the website.
