Police say two people are dead after murder-suicide in Port Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Around 2:00 p.m., on the 3500 block of Emerald Street, officials said a suspect fired at least two shots at Philadelphia police officers, striking a police vehicle, 6 ABC reports.

The male suspect reportedly then barricaded himself inside of a house, leading to a standoff as police set up a staging area at the intersection of Tioga and Joyce streets. A SWAT team responded to the scene, initially sending a robot inside the property and evacuating neighboring homes as a precaution.

Authorities said the situation ended shortly after 4:30 p.m. According to police, two men were found dead inside the house. One of them is believed to be the original gunman.

The identity of the suspect and victim have not been revealed. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the domestic dispute.

No police officers were injured in the incident.
