Sister of Dylann Roof removes GoFundMe page

NBCNews.com reports she put up page to help pay for wedding, honeymoon

A GoFundMe page set up by Amber Roof -- the sister of alleged Charleston, South Carolina, church shooter, Dylann Roof, who killed nine people -- to solicit funds for her wedding and honeymoon has been removed Thursday, according to NBCNews.com

GoFundMe.com allows people to raise money from the public. Roof's page revealed that she'd received $1,639 of her $5,000 goal.

On her page, Roof stated: “The Charleston Massacre took place and our lives were forever changed. The media abused our privacy and published all of our wedding information and destroyed our dream day,” according to NBCNews.com. “Money raised will be used to cover lost wedding costs, to pay bills, and to send us on our dream honeymoon. 10% of all funds raised will be donated to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.”
