Slot machine revenues at state casinos rose year-over-year in February by 1.12 percent, even though fewer machines were operating on average.
The 12 casinos, including four local facilities, reported total gross revenue of $183,203,043 generated from the play of slot machines, compared to $181,178,730 in February 2014, according to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
As a group, the Philadelphia-area casinos performed better than the state average, with revenues increasing $3,171,757, a 4.79 percent increase year-over-year.
Tax revenue from slots play last month was $97,748,225.
The average number of slot machines operating throughout Pennsylvania was 26,351 in February 2015 compared to 26,620 in February 2014.
Gross revenue for each of the casinos operating in February 2015 is as follows, with the percentage change for the same period a year ago.
Here's how the Philadelphia-area casinos fared last month:
Parx Casino brought in $29,628,629, an increase of 7.3 percent year-over-year.
Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack, $17,956,181, a decline of 0.28 percent.
SugarHouse Casino, $15,518,088, a 4.01 percent increase.
Valley Forge Casino Resort, $6,200,818, a rise of 10.86 percent.
In November 2014, the Gaming Control Board awarded a license to Stadium Casino LLP for the operation of a casino at 900 Packer Ave. in South Philadelphia.
