Spruce Street Harbor Park will open for the 2017 season on Friday, May 12. The popular (and free) summer hangout is filled with hammocks, lawn chairs, boardwalk games, glow sticks and food & drink.

To start off the 2017 season, there will be a weekend-long festival in partnership with Univest Bank and Trust Co.

UNIVESTival will feature three nights of live music, food & drink specials and various entertainment. There will be aerial routines over the marina, circus-style performances, a magician, a caricature artist, a petting zoo and other unique activities.

As for food and drink options this year, many of the favorites at Spruce Street Harbor Park will be back. Look for Chickie’s and Pete’s, Federal Donuts, Franklin Fountain, Frozen Delights, Distrito Taco, Froman’s and Village Burger.

Harborside Pizza will be a new eatery and will serve boardwalk-style pizza.

To drink, there will be more beer and cocktails than before. Eight draft lines have been added to the beer garden, with two dedicated to a rotating selection of draft cocktails.

The park will be open through Oct. 1.
