Strawberries are the quintessential summer snack, so a celebration of the fruit must mean the season's on its way, right? The annual Strawberry Festival at Peddler's Village will run for two days over Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3.

The weekend festivities include every variation of the treat you could imagine, from chocolate-covered to short-caked, on display. In addition to all the strawberry-filled goodies and traditional carnival foods, food vendors like Sum Pig Food Truck and Local 215 will be there, too.

A juried arts and crafts showcase will take over the Street Road Green. Guests will find Chalk Me Up clothing, Bonnie and Clay handmade ceramics and Ye Olde Toffee Shoppe goodies among the dozens of vendors.

Thirteen different musical acts will perform over the two-day event throughout the village. One source of entertainment that will appear both days is the popular strawberry pie-eating contest. Contestants of all ages will compete in the messy fun.
