No matter how much you want your faithful pair that made it through race day, that challenging trail run in the pouring rain and being mauled by your pup to last, all running shoes wear out eventually.  The effectiveness starts to dwindle through wear and tear and, consequently, you lose the pep in your step.

If your sneakers only have a few miles left on their lifespan or if your kicks are already showing holes in the sole, then Philadelphia Runner's group run on July 7 was made specifically for you.

The Saucony Pops Collection, which features a lineup of running shoes brightly colored to resemble old school popsicles, will be available for attendees to try on. Grab a pair of shoes in your size and try them out during the three-to-five-mile group run.

The run departs from Philadelphia Runner's Center City location at 6 p.m., but anyone who wants to test out a pair of sneaker should aim to arrive early.

Once the run is over, attendees can grab some complimentary ice cream or frozen treats -- in honor of the Saucony sneaker's inspiration.
