Updated Monday, Oct. 17 at 10:08 a.m.: The event has been cancelled.

On Oct. 17, Philadelphia's top chefs, sommeliers and mixologists will gather together at 23rd Street Armory to provide attendees to Philadelphia's Taste of the Nation event with delicious bites and drinks.

Attendees to the ticketed event will be helping No Kid Hungry end childhood hunger. The organization uses donations to provide kids with healthy after-school meals. "Every $10 you give can provide up to 100 meals for a child who is still facing hunger," No Kid Hungry's website states.

The organization goes on to state that 13 million children in the United States struggle with hunger.

As for local beneficiaries, they include Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger, The Food Trust and Second Harvest of Lehigh Valley.

Tickets for the event are $95 per person or $150 for VIP tickets, which include an extra hour of food and drink. General admission ticket holders can enter at 7 p.m., while VIPs can enter at 6.
