Starting on Friday, Feb. 12 tattoo artists and enthusiasts will take over the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the weekend. The 2016 Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention returns for its 18th year with vendors, contests, entertainment and special guests.

Tickets can only be purchased at the door and are $22 for a single day or $45 for a three-day package.

Times for the weekend event are 2 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Each day will have tattoo contests where artists can pay an entry fee of $10 to join in the competition. The most exciting contest is the Tattoo of the Day, which chooses the best ink work from the day for a prize.

Artists from the show "Ink Master" will be in attendance, as well as local and international tattoo artists.
