Almost seven years after opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Ardmore, Tired Hands Brewing Co. is setting up shop with its first permanent location in Philly.

Since first opening in its quaint Main Line quarters, the craft brewery has grown exponentially, including adding a second location down the road from its original spot in Ardmore in its expansive and bustling Fermenteria. Now, after teasing fans with a seasonal beer garden in Kensington last fall, the Tired Hands has decided to set up shop directly across the street, at 2218 Frankford Ave.

News of the forthcoming location was shared on Instagram on Monday morning.

"Last Friday we sealed the deal on our first brick and mortar outpost in Philadelphia," the post reads.

"We will be constructing a cozy fifty-ish seat restaurant with a six-seat bar."

The restaurant will continue to serve Tired Hands beer, sourced from its Ardmore Brew Cafe and Fermentaria. Owners envision about a dozen beers on tap, as well as 333 Komboucha, Tired Hand's own kombucha brand that launched in August.

Tired Hands will also be experimenting with its own natural wine on tap, as well as an espresso area for Tired Hands' Awake Minds brand.

Once the place is running, the kitchen will serve "Chinese-inspired/classic American food" to in-house guests as well as to customers across the street at the Biergarten.

The building formerly housed brunch cafe Tierce, which closed late last year.
