Festival showcases New Jersey wines and winemakers

Spend a day sampling red and white varieties

Tropicana's Jersey Shore Wine Festival will return for a second year Feb. 25-26. The event will showcase more than 150 of New Jersey's best-known wines and winemakers. The list includes:

• Chestnut Run Farms
• DiMatteo Vineyard
• Old York Cellars
• Plagido’s Winery
• Sharrott Winery
• Southwind Vineyard & Winery
• Tomasello Winery
• Valenzano Winery
• Villari Vineyards
• Wagonhouse Winery

Attendees can sample each variety, learn more about the winemaking process, meet with experts, shop from local artisans and watch live entertainment.

The event begins at noon on both dates. On Saturday, Feb. 25, the festival will end at 6 p.m. The following day it will end at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $25 and include a tasting glass, access to wine seminars and a cheese and fruit plate.
