Police identify two who died in I-295 multi-vehicle crash

Two people died on Sunday morning in a crash that occurred on the southbound lanes of I-295 in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Three were also injured and taken to Cooper University Hospital. 

Police identified the deceased as Jasmine Gonzalez, 22, and Nkemjika Anyim, also 22, NBC10 reports. 

The crash occurred just north of milepost 17 in East Greenwich Township, according to New Jersey 511. According to 6 ABC, the crash involved six vehicles

A preliminary investigation of the accident found that a Lexus in the center lane struck an Acura in the left lane, which sent the Acura into a guardrail. Gonzalez and Anyim, sitting in front in the Acura, were both ejected.

No charges have been filed, however the investigation is ongoing.
