Two fatally shot at Montgomery County apartment building

Two people were killed late Wednesday night in a shooting at an apartment building in Montgomery County, 6ABC reports.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the Park Place apartments on the 700 block of Sandy Street in Norristown.

Two bodies were removed from the building shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday, 6ABC reports. Police identified the victims as 26-year-old Marcel Edwin Edwards and 26-year-old Quentin Watson Jr. 

Edwards, of Philadelphia, was found in the second-floor hallway of the apartment building. Watson, of Eagleville, Pa., was found inside an adjacent apartment. Both victims had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The cause of the shooting is not yet known.

A man was taken into custody and a gun was recovered, but not at the scene, 6ABC reports.

The incident remains under investigation.
