A Philadelphia high school teacher has been hospitalized after two students attacked him Monday, according to media reports.
The incident occurred at George Washington High School on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
According to NBC Philadelphia, the unidentified male teacher took away a ninth-grade student's cell phone and refused to give it back when the student, along with a 10th-grade student, confronted the teacher.

6ABC reports one student punched the teacher in the right side of the face and the other pushed him twice.
The students were immediately removed from the high school and the teacher was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital for cheek and nose pain as a precaution.
The students, ages 16 and 17, were taken into custody, but authorities have not announced charges yet.
Last month, PhillyVoice reported that several parents claimed frequent violence between students goes unreported at the school.
Some parents and at least one former school official said Principal Gene Jones has not properly addressed the issue.
