Fourth-graders granted one year of free admission to federal recreation areas

The program is part of the White House’s 'Every Kid in a Park' initiative

The Every Kid in a Park pass will be available to U.S. fourth-graders starting Sept. 1, 2015, and will be good for the 2015-2016 school year until Aug. 31, 2016.

As part of the White House’s “Every Kid in a Park” initiative, U.S. fourth-graders, along with a carload of their family and friends, will be granted free entrance to national parks and federal lands and waters from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, 2016.

"No matter where you live in the United States, there's a site within two hours of your home." - Every Kid in a Park.

The program is made possible by the National Park Service and National Park Foundation with a mission to introduce children to outdoor recreation.
