Suspect in Valentine's Day assault at Little Caesars turns himself in

Duane Townsend surrenders was arrested for aggravated assault

The suspect wanted for assaulting a pizza shop employee on Valentine's Day turned himself in Feb. 19, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

Duane Townsend, 29, allegedly entered Little Caesars at 1100 West Girard Ave., on Feb. 14 at 10 p.m. He got into an argument with a 35-year-old male employee at the counter and threw punches as well as computer equipment. Afterward, he fled the shop and got into a car occupied by another male and a female.

Townsend turned himself in after seeing video of himself on local news broadcasts. He is charged with aggravated assault and additional offenses.
