Here's your chance to help add another Delaware Valley native to daytime television — at least for one day.

"Live with Kelly" has been searching for a new co-host ever since Michael Strahan's abrupt departure from the ABC show left South Jersey native Kelly Ripa without a partner.

Rumors have swirled about possible celebrity replacements, including actor Rob Lowe and CNN's Anderson Cooper. In the meantime, several guest hosts have anchored the show's second chair.

While a permanent replacement has not been chosen, at least one unknown will get to give it a shot for a single show. "Live with Kelly" has been hosting a contest called "Kelly and You," in which aspiring television stars compete to sit beside Ripa as host for a day.

Among the final two contestants is Richard Curtis, of Perkasie, Bucks County. He made the last cut by way of fan vote on Thursday's show after an embarrassing dance challenge Wednesday and is up against California's Dax Holt to co-host the show this Friday, Oct. 21.

On Thursday's show, Curtis had to try and read a teaser for the show with a mouthful of peanut butter and a smoke machine blowing in his face.

Curtis isn't the only local product to make it far in the contest. Moorestown's Dena Blizzard – known for her One Funny Mother videos — was one of the final five contestants but failed to make the last cut.
