Passengers onboard a routine flight from Philadelphia International Airport to Orlando were in for a suprise detour Sunday afternoon after a woman gave birth to her child mid-flight.

Southwest Airlines flight 556 left Philadelphia at 2:46 p.m., but instead of flying directly to Orlando, the plane was diverted to Charleston, South Carolina, after the woman went into labor. Medical personnel onboard the flight assisted in the baby's delivery, Southwest Airlines said in a statement.

One passenger captured the scene with his phone and uploaded the video on Twitter.

After landing in Charleston, emergency crews reportedly transported the parents and newborn to a local hospital.

The flight, which held 132 passengers (or was it 133?), eventually landed safely in Orlando at 6:34 p.m.

If the baby is a girl, Skylar might make an appropriate name choice.
