WATCH: NASCAR revs up for big race in Center City

As part of an event to promote an upcoming race, a handful of NASCAR race cars rolled through Center City on Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

NASCAR came to the streets of Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Seven, colorful race cars cruised around Center City to promote the annual race at Pocono Raceway on June 11.

The event, dubbed the Pocono Raceway/Xfinity Philly Takeover, gave racing fans and passersby the opportunity to see the speed machines up close. The vehicles drove Market Street to City Hall, then to the Comcast Tower, providing brief demonstrations.
