WATCH: Philly fans fish (literally) for Steph Curry’s autograph, get rewarded

It’s nice to see creativity get rewarded, which is precisely what happened on Friday night outside of the Wells Fargo Center.

The Golden State Warriors landed in town on Friday night for a game against the Sixers (5:00 p.m. tonight), and shortly after, they held a shootaround at the arena. The one problem for any potential autograph seekers? The players’ entrance to the building is situated well below where the general public can go.

That didn’t stop one father-son duo, who came up with the perfect solution: Cast a line down to the players and see if you can get a bite. And it worked to perfection, as Curry signed a jersey and issue of Sports Illustrated for them:

Curry seemed to enjoy to whole scene enough to document it with his phone after autographing the locals’ stuff.

On a personal note, I’m pretty jealous. This went over way better than that day this summer when I was randomly in California:
