Police say woman was intoxicated

A woman has been charged after she slammed into several parked cars in the parking garage of an Atlantic City casino on New Year's Day.

A woman has been charged after she drove her car recklessly into several other vehicles in the parking garage of an Atlantic City casino.

According to police, 39-year-old Joanna Kostas of Mays Landing entered an unoccupied vehicle waiting for valet parking at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino around 3 a.m. Friday.

The keys were in the ignition, and Kostas drove into four other parked, unoccupied vehicles. She was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries afterwards.

She has been charged with two traffic violations - driving while intoxicated and reckless driving - as well as unlawful taking of means of conveyance, a criminal charge.
