White Dog Cafe and WMMR's Preston and Steve will host a fundraiser on Monday, Aug. 21, to benefit Alpha Bravo Canine.

The organization provides trained service dogs to U.S military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other combat-related disabilities.

Marty Grims, owner of White Dog Cafe, is committed to making sure all three White Dog Cafe locations raise enough money during the fundraiser to purchase a dog for training. The average cost for a puppy to train is $2,000.

Alpha Bravo Canine does not charge veterans for the training or the dog.

Those who would like to contribute should make a reservation to dine at White Dog Cafe, beginning at 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.

WMMR's on-air personalities will be at each of the three White Dog Cafe locations dining with guests and hosting drawings for prizes.

In addition, guests who dine at White Dog Cafe through Sunday, Aug. 20, can make an on-site donation that will be matched by White Dog Cafe.
