A 22-year-old York, Pennsylvania, man faces charges after police say he shot a teen who was allegedly throwing snowballs at his car, NBC Philadelphia reports.

Fox 43 reports a witness told police that he heard at least six gunshots, then saw a man described as Jerquan Dickson exit the alley where the shots were fired, get into a sedan and speed off.

Dickson allegedly shot the 15-year-old boy twice — once in the right arm and in his left thigh — Saturday morning. The boy was hospitalized for his injuries.

Police say Dickson told them in an interview that he fired a warning shot into the air, then several more into a bank of snow.

He has been charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. He is free on $150,000 bail.
