YouTube removes DaddyOFive's horrific 'Invisible Ink Prank' video

A viral video, posted on April 12, 2017, depicted parents from Maryland playing a prank on their children. It drew quite a bit of criticism from those who viewed it on YouTube.

Sometimes, good comes from bad. Noticing that the awful “INVISIBLE INK PRANK! (EPIC FREAKOUT)” video has been removed from YouTube is one of those times.

On Monday, we brought you the story of prank-video cretin Mike “DaddyOFive” Martin and family’s penchant for using profanity and classic bullying techniques to reduce a young child to tears.

It pains me to further describe what happens during those six and a half minutes, so please refer to this recap if you’re not familiar.

Chances are, though, you likely heard about it as Monday night and Tuesday brought an onslaught of stories – like ours – which openly criticized what unfolded therein. (See here, here, here, here, here and here to get a taste.)

Suffice it to say, this is not an easy time for the Martin clan, which has since claimed that “haters” are making their lives difficult and that the whole schtick was scripted (which it clearly wasn’t even to a moderately keen eye.)

Though the prank video has been removed “for violating YouTube’s policy on harassment and bullying,” DaddyOFive and MommyOFive returned Wednesday with a “Family Destroyed Over False Aquisations (sic)” video.

If they’re genuine in their reflective half-apologies, it’s a good start. (Though it’s kind of difficult to fully buy into it when, among other things, he says he’d be willing to part with YouTube revenues to not "lose his family." Talk about the wrong hill to die upon.)

Sure, they’re reaping what they have sown, but if it leads them to stop giving excuses for making their children cry for YouTube cash, maybe that’s the best that can come from their worst.

Oh yeah, if the family is really receiving threats, whomever is behind them is just as bad as those who thought the video was a funny thing to do and/or watch in the first place.
