The Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival.

The 2016 Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival will kick off at noon on Saturday, May 21. The annual event closes off a portion of Walnut Street for strictly pedestrian traffic. Attendees are invited to shop, eat and drink down the street, which will feature more than 100 booths for the occasion.

Find culinary demonstrations, beer and cocktail samplings and booths set up by popular Rittenhouse restaurants. There will also be designated areas for special food & drink promotions.

"Food Truck Alley" will be set up at along 17th and Walnut streets for quick bites, while the 1800 block of Walnut Street will be transformed into "The Stephen Starr Block." Starr restaurants will serve versions of popular menu items.

A new addition for 2016 is a mini block party hosted by El Rey at 19th and Walnut. Find live music, margaritas and Mexican fare there.

Booths along the street will also feature art, fashion, beauty and crafts from local artisans and neighborhood businesses.

The free festival annually draws large crowds and takes place rain or shine.
