BalletX Fall Series 2026 runs Nov. 4-15 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre and features three works: Speakeasy, Switching the Groove and In the Wake.

BalletX, Philadelphia’s premier contemporary ballet, celebrated its 20th Anniversary last season and will leap into a brand new era with Fall Series 2026 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre Nov. 4-15.

The company promises an immersive experience featuring three works, each designed to transport you to a different world. Loughlan Prior debuts Speakeasy, a much anticipated joy ride through Prohibition-era Philadelphia.

Amy Hall Garner re-mounts
Switching the Groove, her electrifying fusion of dance styles that debuted at Festival at Highmark Mann in 2023. And Christian Denice brings his 2025 BalletX debut, a soulful meditation on resilience and healing – In the Wake.

Loughlan Prior follows his 2024 BalletX hit Macaroni, hailed by The Philadelphia Inquirer as “a wildly entertaining ride,” with a glamorous, sexy, cinematic journey in Speakeasy.

Contemporary ballet blends with exhilarating jazz featuring bold costume and set designs by world renowned theater designer Emma Kingsbury drawing from real Philly history. Frank Moon, the UK-based composer and multi-instrumentalist known for his work for the Royal Ballet and feature films such as Disney’s Aladdin, Marvel’s Eternals, and more, has created a scintillating original score.

Switching the Groove is best described as an infectious, high-energy mash-up. Choreographer Amy Hall Garner is constantly exploring the intersection of ballet and contemporary movement and offers this inspiration: “When you come to the theater, especially in this climate, you wanna be uplifted.”

BalletX 2025 Choreographic Fellow, Christian Denice presents In the Wake, an evocative and profound offering on the rituals of healing and experiences of memory and human connection. The work is set to a moving original score by composer and pianist, Philip Daniel.

Groups are welcome and can enjoy exclusive discounts and special perks for Fall Series. The company will also celebrate its Young Patrons Circle on Nov. 13 with $30 YPC member tickets, $56 non-member tickets, and an afterparty with company dancers at famed Philly speakeasy: Midnight & The Wicked.
