There are beer festivals, film festivals, fitness festivals and cheese festivals, but rarely do we hear about a brunch festival.

The Friends of Bainbridge Green and South Street Headhouse District are changing that. On Oct. 16, the Bainbridge Green Brunch Fest will take place on Bainbridge, between Third and Fourth streets.

From 10 a.m. through 3 p.m., brunch enthusiasts will be able to eat a sampling of breakfast foods from 10 different restaurants:

• Ela
• Southwark
• Whetstone
• Hungry Pigeon
• The Good King Tavern
• South Street Bagels
• Kanella
• Sabrina's Cafe
• Plenty Cafe
• Little Bird Bakery

As for drinks, Federal Distilling (which makes Stateside Vodka) and 13th Street Cocktails will be creating brunch cocktails, while Ox Coffee will provide wake-up cups of joe.

Besides food and drink, there will be live music and pumpkin painting during the event.

Tickets for Brunch Fest can be bought individually or in a group.
