Perched alongside the Schuylkill River, Philadelphia’s Manayunk neighborhood bustles with dozens of restaurants and bars, including Taqueria Feliz, along with owner-operated boutiques and galleries. Daytime activities give way to nighttime action as foodies and revelers hit the streets, scoping out new restaurants and jockeying for good people-watching vantage points at sidewalk cafes.
Each year Manayunk polls the community to name what's "The Best" in the neighborhood. This year, there were 51 total categories to vote on, classified as "Live," "Dine," "Shop," "Play" and "Reader's Choice."
Voting took place in January, and finally the list of winners will be announced at the Best of Manayunk 2017 Cocktail Party on Thursday, March 23.
The 21-plus event at Manayunk Brewing Co. will feature dancing, food from the winning restaurants, drink samples from event sponsors and a three-hour cash bar.
Tickets are $40 per person and include one drink ticket. Cocktail attire is recommended.
