Cafe celebrating 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' with brunch and bazaar

There will be a life-size, remote-controlled R2-D2

The release date for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is Friday, Dec. 15. To celebrate the new movie, there will be a "Star Wars"-themed brunch and bazaar the following morning, on Dec. 16.

Riot Nerd is hosting the all-ages event at Buzz Cafe in Kensington.

Terrence Laragione, the artist who owns the cafe, is a big fan of the adventures "in a galaxy far, far away." He will be bringing a life-size, remote-controlled R2-D2 that he built to the event, as well as the sculpture he made of Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

Cafe guests can pose for pictures, grab a quick bite and then shop for unique, handmade "Star Wars"-themed goods.

There will be around 10 vendors selling knickknacks.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's free to attend, but a donation to Toys for Tots is encouraged. Boba Fett will be collecting the toys.
