A semi double trailer slides across the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike on Sunday before jumping the median rails and jackknifing in the northbound lanes.
Icy conditions caused hundreds of car accidents — and five deaths — in the greater Philadelphia region on Sunday morning. But one driver, who was not injured, captured an incredible video of a semi double trailer catapulting over the median on the New Jersey Turnpike.
According to a video posted on YouTube by user MrLegolize, he was stopped near New Brunswick due to an accident involving two trucks southbound when he decided to take a picture. A semi double-trailer slid on black ice behind his vehicle and can be seen, swerving, sliding, then jumping the metal median and jackknifing to a stop in the northbound lanes.
