FBI agents fatally shoot Delco man during child pornography raid

FBI inquiry targeted three separate homes Friday

FBI agents executing a search warrant at a home in Delaware County on Friday fatally shot a man suspected of involvement in a child pornography ring, officials said.

Chester Police Commissioner Joseph Bail said that the FBI responded to a home on Highland Avenue near 6th Street around 6 a.m., according to NBC 10.

In the course of executing the warrant, shots were fired and one of the four people in the home was fatally shot during the shootout.

Local and federal investigators later responded to the home and a neighboring home, where they began to question individuals on the scene. A man was brought out from the home to a waiting police car while a woman and third person were also taken from the home for questioning. It was not clear what relationship existed between those who were at the property.

Authorities said the home had a sophisticated security system. It was one of three homes raided on Friday as part of the federal investigation.

According to Bail, the incident will be investigated by The FBI and special prosecutors in Delaware County.
