Philadelphia officially marked the opening of its relocated Christmas Village on Sunday with a day-long celebration at Dilworth Park.

Headlined by German artist Chistkind, the festivities at City Hall included performances by the Camden Catholic High School Band and the Clearview Regional High School Choir.

Christkind arrived on a horse-drawn carriage at the north entrance of City Hall around 3:15 p.m., where she officially opened the market.

Guests were able to take part in a photo shoot and a candy walk led by Christkind. Festivities were scheduled to wrap up at 7 p.m.

Philadelphia officials estimate that some 780,000 visitors will attend the open air market between Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition to the pop-up ice rink, carousel and maze, visitors will find a range of international gifts, ornaments, decorations and European food and drinks.

Admission is free.
