Officials reopen all I-95 northbound lanes after accident that caused fuel tank spill

Traffic backed up from I-476 to Delaware border

All lanes heading northbound on I-95 have been reopened after an accident that occurred Sunday morning.

Philly.com reports that the accident happened around 9:30 a.m. in Delaware County, involving a tractor trailer and two other vehicles. The fuel tank for the trailer was damaged, leaking oil onto the highway.

Traffic was being diverted onto I-476 north, as cars are backed up from the I-476 exit to Delaware.

6 ABC reports that minor injuries were reported.

Foam was sprayed on the gas by firefighters to try and prevent an explosion. No details about the time the highway may be reopened have been reported.
