Studio makes painting a portrait of your pet easy

Create a work of art based on your favorite companion

Chances are you've been to a Painting with a Twist party. The franchise, which first began in 2009, gained popularity as an out-of-the-box activity ideal for groups.

Friends gather together for step-by-step instructions on how to paint a specific image, while sipping beer or wine. At the end, everyone leaves with one-of-a-kind art.

Usually, when registering for a class, the choices for what to paint include flower arrangements, nature scenes, landmarks, red-soled shoes and seasonal imagery.

Now, select Painting with a Twist locations offer a more personal option. You can paint a portrait of your pet, with no-stress.

A Painting with a Twist artist pre-sketches the pet based on a submitted photo. A high-resolution color photo of the pet should be emailed to the studio at least seven days prior to the registered class.

When painting, attendees just need to stay in the lines.

So far, the Ambler and Andorra Painting with a Twist locations offer the BYOB "Paint Your Pet" classes.

The session lasts three hours and is $55 per person. Registration is required.
