Participate in the Gary Papa Run on Father's Day

Join in a 10K run, 5K run or 5K walk to support prostate cancer awareness

On June 19, Father's Day, the 14th Annual Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health Father’s Day Gary Papa Run will take off from Eakins Oval. Packet pickup begins at 6:30 a.m. for the 10K run at 7:30 a.m., the 5K at 8 a.m. and the 5K walk at 8:30 a.m. No matter what level runner, the charity run aims to make participating easy.

In 2002, an organized race to promote prostate cancer awareness and fund educational programming and screenings for men took place. What became an annual run was later renamed to honor sportscaster and race co-chairman Gary Papa after he died of prostate cancer in 2009.

Individual registration for the Gary Papa Run is $30 per person online, while day-of registration will be $35 per person. For those registering on-site, note that only a check or cash will be accepted.
